把身体想成有三个方向：左右、上下、前后。竖着放的平面镜像一扇透明墙：它会把“朝镜子这边”和“镜子后面”这条前后方向翻过去；左右和上下的位置本身没有交换。
那为什么右手看起来变成左手？因为镜子里的你正面对着你。面对面站着时，你的右边正好在对方的左边。若想让镜中的人和你一样朝同一个方向，就得把他转过半圈；转半圈时，左右看起来就对调了。镜子没拧左右，是我们换了观察方向！
Think of the body as having three directions: left-right, up-down, front-back. A vertical flat mirror is like a transparent wall: it flips the front-back direction between toward-the-mirror and behind-the-mirror; left-right and up-down positions are not swapped. Then why does the right hand look like the left? Because the you in the mirror faces you. When two people stand face to face, your right is exactly the other's left. To make the mirror person face the same way as you, you would have to turn them half a circle; turning half a circle makes left and right seem swapped. The mirror did not twist left and right; we changed the viewing direction!
